Cannot print (direct connection to PC with parallel cable).

Solution

PROBABLE CAUSES:

1. Wrong or bad printer cable is being used. Use only a known good Centronics cable with the printer.

2. Centronics cable is not securely connected to the printer or PC. Disconnect the cable and connect it firmly.

3. The printer cable is connected to the wrong LPT port on the PC. Either move the cable to the correct port or change the port settings in the PC.

4. The paper size selected on the PC is not available in the printer. Add correct paper size or change paper size settings in PC.

The part number for the parallel cable that is supplied with the X2e Fiery Controller is p/n 45002101 or p/n 10015473. The parallel printer cable is not

proprietary. The cable has a DB-25 male connector that connects to the computer on one end and an MDR-36 male connector that connects to the Fiery X2e

on the other.
